All too often today people are declaring bankruptcy because they get sick or are injured in an accident. In America about half the people declaring bankruptcy are doing so because they cannot pay their medical bills. Of these, more than half had health insurance.
Medical bankruptcy is hitting middle and lower middle class people hard. These are people who work hard to pay their way in life and do the best they can to bring up their families.
